Job Summary:

As an Assistant Manager at our Rushmere store, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including sales performance, customer service, staff management, and inventory control. You will play a key role in ensuring that the store meets its sales goals and provides a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Store Operations:
    • Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
    • Oversee and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and training as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Sales and Customer Service:
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective sales strategies and team management.
    • Deliver excellent customer service, resolving customer complaints and inquiries promptly.
    • Implement visual merchandising guidelines to enhance the store’s appearance and attract customers.
  • Staff Management:
    • Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff.
    • Create and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and motivation.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring adequate supply and timely replenishment.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and manage deliveries to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Assist in preparing sales reports, financial statements, and other administrative tasks.
    • Manage store budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in menswear or fashion retail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
